Dzisiaj dalszy postępy prac z figurkami grenadierów, tym razem już z etapu malowania. Dla odmiany postanowiłem wypróbować malowanie figurek akrylami Vallejo. Było to moje pierwsze podejście, figurek jeszcze tymi farbami nie malowałem. Z efektów, które widać poniżej, jestem całkiem zadowolony. Muszę przyznać że akrylami maluje się bardzo sprawnie i szybko, ich podstawową zaleta jest to, że szybko wysychają, a mieszają się ze sobą tak znakomicie jak farby olejne. Figurka wymaga jeszcze pokrycia jej matowym werniksem.
This time a update concerning painting the Sturmgruppe. The first grenadier is almost ready, needs a layer of flat varnish only. This was the first time for me to paint a figure with acryliccs, and I must admit that I liked it. The dry quicker than oils and still I can get the good effect while applying shadows or highlights. This makes these paints even better for painting than artistic oils.
